I Do: Sheridan and Mark

When Sheridan told me that she’d arranged a wine tasting to keep her guests entertained during the couple photographs, I smiled. “The ceremony starts at 11, followed by some canapés, and then the wine tasting will start at 12h30. She had my attention.” “Are there shaded areas around the venue?” I quizzed. “Nope, not a tree in sight.”   Of course it’s possible to photograph in the mid-day sun - It’s just not the method I use to create the images I do, so we chatted about it and decided on one or two backup plans…. For in the event that our prayers for a big old cloud over the venue didn’t materialise. Roll on a few weeks to September 6th, and as we drove to the venue - Gabrielskloof, just outside of Greyton, there it was. A HUGE cloud, exactly as ordered. Thank You.   Sheridan and Mark opted for a very intimate wedding – Less than 15 people were present as they exchanged their I do’s. Sheridan insists there is very little about them that’s traditional – She’d initially planned to wear an elegant black dress but was swayed by her best friend Tracey to stick with something more classic. You’ll agree, it was a smart move – How amazing does she look in that dress.   Traditional they may not be…. In love, without a doubt. This is the wedding of Sheridan and Mark.
