When Stacy and Shaun announced that their wedding would be in Thailand, it made complete sense to fit a Trash the Dress shoot into the trip. Picture perfect beaches, lush vegetation and warm (Great White Free) Water. How could it not be done!! For me, Thailand is all about the beaches and exploring different ends of the islands to find exactly what you want. We were in Phuket for the wedding, (Photographs online here). After their big day, we moved toward a different coast in Patong and then all went our separate ways for a couple of days. Ashton and I went to a beautiful island called Koh Yao Yai and stayed at the amazing resort Santhiya – Click on that link if you’re looking to find an undisturbed luxurious experience in Thailand.

While we were at Santhiya, Stacy and Shaun made their way to Krabi and enjoyed a few nights on the Ao Nang Beach end of the island. Ashton and I headed from Koh Yao Yai to Krabi and checked in at the Amari Vogue in Tubkaak Beach. When they were ready, Stacy and Shaun switched hotels and joined us on the other end of the island. This is where we photographed their Trash The Dress. The amazing landscape with distant rock formations out in the ocean was the perfect backdrop. Since there were only 2 or 3 hotels on this end of the island, we were also very lucky to pretty much have this beautiful location to ourselves.
