The Zimmer Family

Henriett contacted me from Germany to say that her and her family (Christian & Nathalie) would be in Cape Town for a couple of days and after she’d seen my work on Instagram, they wanted to arrange a family shoot.

How cool is that? Technology rocks :)

We planned for a beach shoot in Blouberg and then when Henriett was ill just before they left Germany, we rescheduled for Kommetjie the following week. When I arrived for the shoot, the beach was full so we made our way down a greenery filled pathway across the road to begin and then headed to the beach midway through the shoot when it had quietened down. Two completely different settings, equally beautiful results.

I love how when you just go with it, everything works out. No stress. Everything happens for a reason - That’s what the tattoo on Henriett’s arm says, and I’m very inclined to agree.

What an absolute pleasure and blessing to have met this amazing little loving family - I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Cape Town & that we get to welcome you back to our shores one day in the future <3
