The de Beer Family

On a beautiful Summer December evening, I met up with the de Beer family on Cape Town's stunning Llandudno beach - It really is breathtaking.

When I photograph families, I do my utmost to deliver two types of images.

1.  Slightly traditional that can be framed (Posed, looking at the camera)

2.  Documentary - Everyone just doing what everyone does - Of course these can be framed too, in fact, they should.  They have a more arty feel to them.

Finding the balance for both is important to me as every family is different and every family (member) wants different end products - I keep this in mind during the shoot.....  You'll see what I mean as you scroll through these images of this beautiful family.

It's important to note when there are family shoots of 10+ people, the natural documentary type pics become harder to get as everyone tends to stand around and chat while they aren't being photographed - Keep that in mind when booking larger shoots, you're signing up for the traditional look ;)
