Baby Bump: Tracey & Andrew
It was a little over 3 years ago when I decided that I wanted to turn my passion for photography into a small business. I was on the search for models :) It was around the same time that Andrew proposed to Tracey. Since they’re good friends of mine, it was easy enough to convince them to allow me to photograph them. At the time, I hadn’t done very many couple shoots, so wasn’t too well versed in posing techniques. I went with it anyway and they were such champs, I walked away feeling very proud of the images we’d been able to create. Now, 3 years down the line, I feel as though I have grown leaps and bounds. As has life for Tracey and Andrew - They’ve been married for two years and are expecting their first child. Ashton and I joined them at their beautiful holiday home in Greyton for the weekend. While we were there, we put aside some time for a baby bump shoot. For their engagement shoot, we were in the city centre and had a Big Boy Scooter to reflect their fast paced lifestyle. Now, as they slow things down, we used a bicycle I spotted at their holiday home as prop. It helped distract them from being in front of the camera and tied in well considering Andrew’s love of cycling – He completed the gruelling Cape Epic last year. We walked around Greyton for a while (How great is that town), and then headed toward a section of the river before finishing off at the nature reserve. Here are Mr & Mrs Dewey, loving it up in Greyton as they await the arrival of their little boy.
