Tasha Seccombe is a wedding and food photographer based in beautiful Elgin. I’ve followed her work with great interest for a few years. She photographs amazing weddings, but it’s her love of food photography that finds me glued to my screen wondering how she makes everything look delicious. (Even things I’d never ordinarily eat myself).
Naturally, every great photographer needs something spectacular to photograph – Cue Ilse, aka The Food Fox – They work together regularly to create some amazing culinary delights for The Pretty Blog. Earlier this year, Tasha announced that she’d be hosting a food photography workshop which would be hosted at The Demo Kitchen (I’ve wanted to try one of their Demo’s for the longest time). There was no ways I’d be missing out and booked a spot immediately.
It happened on Saturday and was such an awesome day – A great workshop. We spent the morning listening to tips from Tasha, understanding ways to improve our own food photography adventures, while Ilse prepared the food which we photographed during the second part of the session. All very inspiring.
Here’s a peek into some of the action behind the scenes and some of the delicious goodies we photographed. (Please keep in mind all food styling is done by Tasha & Ilse & in some cases at some stages during the day it was a free for all, so photographs are of various creations by various individuals).
